PROBATE
Guiding Families Through Tennessee’s Probate Process
Losing a loved one is difficult enough without the added stress of managing their estate. At the Law Office of Jordan Long, PLLC, we help families in Weakley, Obion, Carroll, and Henry counties navigate the probate process with clarity, efficiency, and respect for the deceased’s wishes.
Whether you’re an executor, administrator, or heir, we offer the legal support you need to move forward with confidence.
WHAT IS PROBATE?
Probate is the legal process for settling a person’s estate after death. This includes validating the will (if one exists), identifying and appraising assets, paying debts and taxes, and distributing remaining assets to heirs.
Did someone pass away without a will?
Just because an individual passed away without a will, doesn’t mean that you can avoid probate. Probate without a will can be a more expensive process, so it’s best to plan correctly on the front end.
We handle all aspects of probate administration, including:
Filing petitions with the probate court
Representing executors and administrators
Ensuring proper notice to beneficiaries and creditor
Managing estate assets and debts
Overseeing distributions to heirs
Resolving disputes when they arise
